In the summer and, indeed, whenever the weather is suitable, the evening meal is served under the arches in the central courtyard. At other times meals are served in the Grande Salle.
Produce from the organic farm is served at the table d'hôtes according to the season: lamb, poultry, rabbit, vegetables from the garden, bread made with our own flour. What we buy is 'd'origine controlée' and, where possible, is produced locally. The organic wine comes from a small local vineyard. The cuisine is regional, traditional and mediterranean: coq au vin, poule au pot, agneau à l'agenais. For vegetarians we can suggest such dishes as lasagne with wild mushrooms, dried fruit tagine . . .
The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial. Even though the meal begins with an aperitif at 8 p.m. conversation may run on into the small hours. As for breakfast, there is no fixed time, except, we do not serve it before 8 a.m. (we keep civilised hours). The menu changes each day and guests are asked to let us know in the morning if they wish to join us for dinner in the evening.
